Student Success Statement (Calvin Coolidge)
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence.
TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful
men with talent.
GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The
slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human
race.”
- President Calvin Coolidge
30th president of the US (1872 – 1933)
Hard work and failure are necessary for success, successes aren't really successes when they are handed to you. Hard work is what gives value to accomplishing your goals, and by staying persistent and determined, you will eventually accomplish it.
