Health Information Specialist
Duties and responsibilities: Health information specialist collect, organize, and analyze health information. They also check the quality of health records by analyzing its accuracy. They assemble and analyze health info for patient reimbursement and research.
Salary: $35,010
Education: There is no set education requirement to enter the field; most companies require a high school diploma (or equivalent) with preferably one year of study beyond high school. You also need a strong knowledge of biology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Reflection: I would like to become a health information specialist because I’d like to help people understand what is happening to them and translate what they’re going through.
