Dental Technician

Duties and responsibilities: A candidate to become a dental technician must complete three examinations, within a four-year period: a written comprehensive, a specialty practical.

The six specialties to choose from are:

• complete dentures
• partial dentures
• crown and bridge
• ceramics
• orthodontics
• implants

Salary: 36000

Education:Students who graduate from a NBC recognized educational institution may choose to take a written examination and become Recognized Graduates (RGs).

Reflection:  I would like to be a dental technician because it seems easy.

Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Surgeon

Duties and Responsibilities: Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeons specialize in treating disorders of the head of the neck, including the body's ears, nose, and throat.

Salary: $327,517 (Average)

Education: ENT's need 15 years of education and training, a 4-year undergraduate program, a 4-year medical program, at least 5 years of specialty training and a 1- to 2-year residency program.

Reflection: I would consider being an Ear, Nose, and Throat.

To me this quote is talking about perspective and how positivity can make the difference between failing and succeeding. When a man is truly positive and never falter's he doesn't have failures, only lessons that will lead to more successes.

Clinical Manager

Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical Managers are in charge of overseeing the work done in healthcare facilities and making sure the facility is running smoothly, while at the same time insuring the patients have the highest quality of service. Their duties also include hiring and training the personnel who will work in the facility.

Salary: $82,158

Education: At least a Bachelor degree in medical service administration.

Reflection: Id become a clinical manager because i would like to help hospitals run more smoothly, and utilize my leadership skills to help patients get better care.

Duties and Responsibilities: A Sonographer is part of the medical team that conducts sonograms and ultra sounds to examine many parts of the body, such as the abdomen, breasts, female reproductive system, prostate, heart, and blood vessels.

Salary: $78,520

Education: Sonographers need to take Comprehensive Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs. Many of these programs vary in length from one to four years depending on the degree or certificate awarded. They also need to take prerequisite classes that are related to their medical field, as well as a GED.

Reflection: I would want to become a sonographer because it seems easy, although boring.

Environmental Health Specialist - Sanitarian

Duties and Responsibilities:An environmental health specialist is someone who inspects the environmental health of areas to make sure they are in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. They can also impost fines on establishments that don't follow these regulations.
Salary: $36,310 - $102,610
Education: A bachelor degree in environmental health and a minimum of 30 semester units in basic science.
Reflection: I would like to be a EHS to help my community and keep everyone healthy.
